Bur butler

I absolutely love products that solve problems or make me more efficient or both. One such product is the Shofu Bur Butler.

Going to the drawer to pick out burs one by one is not only unhygienic but also a waste of time. Definitely not the way to go even though many dentists practice in this way.

In my office we used bur blocks that contained a standard set of burs. I always had the bur block on every tray, even if the patient was just in for an exam. Having the burs ready meant that if we found a small filling we could do it on the spot very easily.

My favourite bur block by far comes from Shofu and is called the Bur Butler.

A cool feature is that it securely holds the burs (both latch grip and friction grip) so they don’t fall out if it is knocked over. It comes in various sizes: 5,10 and 25 holes and is tall enough to accommodate burs of any height.

Shofu Bur Butler

The Bur Butler has a clear plastic cover to prevent contamination and comes in five different colours which can be used for different practitioners or different procedures. Of course, it is durable and autoclavable.

You can get the Shofu Bur Butler from Amalgadent Dental Supplies.

This is a great product!

[Please note: I get no sponsorship from this company. I recommend this product because I think it is excellent.]
