A speaker the audience will thank you for.

Dr Hassed keeps rooms fully engaged and sends attendees home with practical ideas they can use the very next morning. That combination is rarer than it sounds.

When I talk to an audience I do three things.

Firstly, I entertain them to keep them engaged. Secondly, I give them practical information that they can use the next morning. Thirdly, I run on time. One thing I never do is give attendees incomplete information so that I can sell further courses or consulting services.

As a former CPD junkie I know that this is an uncommon combination.

When I have a lapel mic I get out from behind the lectern and walk around to enhance connection with the audience. I detest slides with masses of words — they are hard to comprehend and boring to look at. My slides are simple and graphic with only a few words.

I can talk with authority to dental audiences because I was a dentist in private practice for 35 years. I’ve done more than 20,000 crowns. Over the past 14 years I’ve run seminars across Australia and New Zealand and spoken to more than 2,000 dentists, hygienists and teams. I don't teach theory. What I teach is what I did for years at the chair.

My topics are things that dentists care about:

  • Case acceptance — presenting treatment in a way that is simple, quick, low stress, and effective.

  • Efficiency — working productively so dental teams can get more done in less time with less stress.

My point of difference is that what I teach is highly systematised. Step 1, step 2, step 3, step 4, done. Like when a dentist does a class I restoration — there is a clear and unambiguous flow. Many courses I’ve been to have lots of good ideas but no over-arching system to make things easy to apply.

Sessions with me can focus on one topic or combine both, and are available as keynote presentations, half-day workshops, and full-day seminars.
